CBSE 10th, 12th Result 2021 Date And Time: The wait of the lakhs of students is going to be over soon as the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will release the board exam results of classes 10, 12 this week on the official website of the board, cbseresults.nic.in. Students can also their Class 10, 12 mark sheets through the DigiLocker, UMANG platforms.

Notably, the board was expected to declare class 10 results by July 20, but it will now be released on a later date. "These are extraordinary circumstances as such. Results are delayed this year as the process is elaborate and new for all including schools", one of the board officials had said.


Like previous years, students can expect Education Minister to announce CBSE Class 10th, 12th result date and time. Earlier on Friday, a link to access CBSE Class 10th result 2021 was doing rounds on social media, however, the board officials were quick to confirm that the link was fake.

What's next after board result declaration?

Those who clear the class 12 board exams will have to take admission in college by choosing a course of their interest in any one of the streams - Science, Commerce, and Arts.


Those who pass class 10 exams will take admission in class 11/colleges offering intermediate courses. Details on admission process is expected to being in coming days.

No Merit List This Year

Since exams were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the CBSE won't be releasing the merit list this year. The last time the board had released the merit list was in 2019. A total of 97 students, the highest so far, have clinched the top 3 spots then.

Results Expected Anytime Soon

The board is working day and night to finalise CBSE results 2021, a top official said. Students can expect their board exam results soon on cbseresults.nic.in.


CBSE Class 12 Moderation work completed

If the latest reports are to be believed, CBSE Class 12 Moderation work has also completed. Last week, the board in its circular had clearly stated that it would declare the results for those schools later if it finds any discrepancy in the marks submitted by them.

What Happened Last Year?

Last year as well, CBSE had declared class 12 results before releasing the final marks of class 10 students. In 2020, over 1.84 lakh students had scored above 90% in class 10. More than 41,000 students scored above 95% marks. The pass percentage for CBSE 12th board exam in 2020 stood at 88.78 per cent, higher by over 5 per cent as compared to the 2019 CBSE results.

Will CBSE declare the class 10 result today?

It is expected that the board may declare class 10 results by today or latest by tomorrow. Times Now reported that CBSE 10th Result 2021 is almost ready and in the final stage of processing. The board would analyze it and release the results soon. Students are advised to keep an eye on the official website cbse.gov.in for all the latest updates.

Final Marks Submitted to Schools

If the latest reports are to be believed, the schools have submitted the final marks to CBSE after they were asked to revise.


Class 10 Results Likely to be Delayed

CBSE Class 10 results are expected to be delayed further. As per the experts, the priority is CBSE Class 12 Result.

Owing to the pandemic, the CBSE had to cancel the board examinations this year. In the absence of crucial exams, the board will declare results on the basis of an alternated assessment policy. While Class 10 students will be evaluated on the basis of marks obtained in different tests/exams held during the academic year at the school level, the assessment for class 12 will include the marks of students' performance in class 10 and 11.
