Belgium led 2-0 in the first half of the semifinals in the Italian city of Turin.  Belgium scored their first goal in the 37th minute.  Carrasco netted from an assist by Kevin de Bruyne.  After getting on the ball, the player's shot hit the Frenchman's leg and deflected into the net.

Belgium dominated the first half and broke the deadlock again three minutes later.  The goal was scored by De Bruyne-Lukaku.

As the second half began, France struggled.  Benzema opened the scoring for France in the 62nd minute.  The pass was Mbabane.  France's second goal came from a penalty.  In the 69th minute, Mbabane got the kick for a fall to Antoine Griezmann.

With the tie, the teams were on the hunt for the winning goal.  Finally, in the 90th minute, Theo Hernandez became the savior of the French army.
